Polacrilin Potassium is a high purity pharmaceutical grade weak acid cation exchange resin, potassium form as a free flowing powder. It is suitable for use in the pharmaceutical applications such as taste masking and tablet disintegration. Polacrilin Potassium is derived from crosslinked polymethacrylic acid. Polacrilin Potassium conforms to the specification of monograph for polacrilin potassium in USP/NF.

Polacrilin Potassium is an effective tablet disintegrant, while providing the necessary hardness and chemical stability. It swells up enormously when in contact with water or gastro-intestinal fluids causing rapid disintegration without the formation of lumps.. About 0.5 – 5 % Polacrilin Potassium can be added in dry form to the formulation
